The problem is that there’s no incentive for other game developers to add those items into their own game. The balance issues alone make it a nightmare, let alone polygon count, porting it into a new physics engine, new sounds, new model to fit the visual style of the game.

Not to mention, with an NFT you don’t even get the file, just the token. So if you personally wanted to do the work, you still wouldn’t get the actual asset.

I’m a game designer and 3D modeler as a hobby. I play video games about 45 hours a week. I think a lot of people who are championing this aren’t gamers right now and certainly aren’t game developers. It’s not a functional concept.
